June

On June 1st, 2025, Aruba International reached a significant milestone as its CEO, Mohammad Yahya Aly Hassan, officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Education of Guangdong Province, China.

This historic signing formalized the establishment of the Asia Centre for UN and University of Peace, China’s first fully English-medium international university, located in Guangdong. The agreement is part of the broader Guangdong Provincial initiative outlined in Document No. 8 [2025], which supports innovative, high-quality investments in education, sustainable development, and international cooperation. This partnership reflects Aruba’s long-standing commitment to advancing global education rooted in peace, innovation, and cross-cultural values. By aligning with China’s education reform and investment goals, Aruba International strengthens its position as a global leader in building meaningful, future-facing institutions.

The decision to fund and lead the Asia Centre for UN and University of Peace is deeply rooted in Aruba International’s mission to create sustainable, human-centered progress through education, innovation, and ethical leadership. For decades, the company has championed the fusion of modern advancement with values-driven purpose. The Guangdong project represents a bold, strategic extension of that vision. This university—the first of its kind in China to offer a fully English-medium curriculum with an international framework—is more than a response to demand; it is a proactive step toward reshaping the future of education in Asia. Positioned in a province known for economic dynamism and reform, the project aligns closely with Guangdong’s 2025 investment and financing strategy as outlined in Document No. 8 [2025], which calls for greater involvement of private capital in public service innovation, international partnerships, and education infrastructure.

Aruba International recognized the opportunity not just to build a campus, but to build a bridge—between East and West, tradition and progress, vision and execution. The project is a testament to how meaningful education can uplift communities, foster diplomacy, and inspire future generations to lead with both wisdom and integrity.Beyond facilities and curriculum, the university will serve as a living example of what global cooperation can look like: a hub for sustainable development research, peace-building studies, and interfaith dialogue, empowering students from all backgrounds to lead in an interconnected world.

In choosing to fund and realize this project, Aruba has committed to planting seeds of transformation—not only in Guangdong, but across Asia and the wider global community.
